Dear Sir,
In reference to enclosed map, Messrs Kelly & Walsh
of Hong Kong write me as follows
The Attorney General of Hongkong states that the Chief of the Criminal Investigation De- partment informs him that the British boundary shown in the map of Hongkong and New territories is not correct. We are forwarding you herewith the section in question and have marked in in
Will you there- red ink what he states is right. fore have the matter referred to the General Staff as it is important it should be corrected if wrong. These maps are issued to the Water Police and if junks or sampans are caught breaking the law within the boundary they are charged under dif- ferent sections of the Criminal Code according to the offence.
I shall be glad if you will have this matter locked into and let me have a reply that I can communicate to resers Kelly and Walsh.
Awaiting your reply,
I am, dear Sir,
Yours faithfully,
Sd. G.Brinkworth.
